Review:

This tale is of a little girl with all sorts of anxieties. It is a very entertaining, cute story. I highly recommend this book to teachers, parents and reading groups for children. It is an excellent book to help with parenting skills and in assisting children who need to cope with anxiety and anger issues. Children will become more aware of their own challenges with ideas on how to manage them.

This is very well-written. The e-book has very small print which can be difficult to read. The paperback book is a far better choice. A review of this book gives it a Five Star rating, despite the tiny print of the e-book.

Book Description from Amazon:

For ages 3-9… Do you find yourself worrying about almost everything? Do your worries seem extra large? MJ knows the feeling. She’s a big worry wart. Visit with MJ as she learns how to take off her “Worry Glasses” and take control of her anxiety.

Review:

This Children’s Favorite Bible Stories book is not just
a cheap copy of bible stories. This is a nice printed copy
on quality paper, is hard-bound, and has full page color
illustrations by Natalie Carabetta. It, also, contains ideas to encourage
pondering and deeper thought. Within these pages there are
little prayers at the end of each story to assist little ones
in learning to pray, including praying about what they have learned.
I won it from a giveaway and I truly give thanks for it.
It is a wonderful gift for any child. Parents will be thankful
for the help and insights it will give their children.
My review of this book gives it a solid Five Stars () rating.

{Book Review} Finding Her Way

December 29, 2013 By bodyandsoul Leave a Comment

Love to read but not sure which book to read next? Read this 5-stars book review of, Finding Her Way below.

Book Title and Author: Finding Her Way

Genre: Inspirational Historical/Romance Fiction

Reviewed By: LAWonder10

Star Rating Given: 5-stars

Review:

For all Historical Fiction fans, this is the first in a series of this highly recommended series.
This s an adventure of a young woman’s difficult journey from Boston to Oregon to join her father. Three years previously, she was a spoiled Kentucky girl who, after her mother’s sudden death, refused to go West with him. At that time, she was Fourteen and mad at her father for selling their beloved home. It was a home full of both wonderful and painful memories….memories too painful for her father. She chose, instead, to live with her aunt in Boston and suffered miserably for three years because of that choice. Her Aunt was stern and Corinne could never seem to please her.

Now, the only presentable way to travel that far is, through an arranged marriage with a young man graduating from Harvard Veterinary University. He was a good friend of her fathers. Her father had paid for his education. Now he was marrying Corinne as partial repayment, but he was rude and unkind to her from before the marriage and all through the journey to the West. Still, Corinne was determined to make the best of it until, shortly after their journey began, he made it clear he did not want her for a wife. She would just need to endure the journey until she could be with her father again.
It was a long, grueling trip filled with hardships an embarrassments. It took several months to get to their destination. Some never arrived at all.
There were not many types of situations which occurred that one hasn’t previously read during other’s pioneer travel, yet, it was still very interesting.
Once again, we are reminded of the many sacrifices that have been made in order for future generations to enjoy life more fully…a life most selfishly enjoy at present. The story does continue on for a brief period of time after they arrive in Oregon. (I am anxious to read the continuing series.)
If you are searching for an action-packed adventure, this isn’t for you. It is very well-written and has “its moments” of adventure. It is a very interesting story.
This book is of arranged marriage, differences in the eastern and western cultures of the 1800s. It is of the pilgrimage, hardships, friendships, natural healing remedies used, relationships with the American Indians, with some romance.
This was very well-written and a delightfully clean read.
With this Review I give this book a Five Stars rating.

Book Description from Amazon:

In 1848, women can expect a few bumps along the Oregon Trail. A faithful heart gets this young woman through the hardest days on the trail, her skills and resolve show her and others how a woman can rise from circumstances and survive. Review:

This was a very well-written booklet. The author reminisces about a very special friend in her earlier years…a friend she lost contact with after she married and began having children… a friend who died.

This booklet describes the relationship from the very beginning through the struggle the author had with her faith and understanding. She questioned what she truly believed.

Steve was the best friend she ever had, helped her on her path in life and in discovering who she is and how to create a relationship with Christ.. Her friend was always there for her since her early teens. He was a talented man and a devoted one. The reader only questions, why was his wife only briefly mentioned and what were her feelings?

The story is very intense until the last quarter of the booklet then dwindles somewhat and is slightly repetitive.

This story is recommended to those in search of Christ or those who are searching for that missing piece in life.

I give it a strong Four Stars rating. This was sent to me by the author for an honest review of which I have given.

Book Description from Amazon:

Surviving a debilitating grief didn’t seem possible, but in her desperate quest to not only survive but to also move forward productively, Julie Pfeifer discovers the infinite power of God’s mercy and grace. Follow her journey from early childhood tragedy through the depths of friendship to the devastation of loss and finally the acceptance of Christ’s unconditional, unlimited love. For anyone who has ever struggled with self-confidence, grief, doubt, or faith, Finding God, Creating Me offers the hope needed to persevere and find purpose again. Reflection/discussion questions designed for an individual or small group are included.
