From the Author:
During a season of transition in my life, I found myself overwhelmed with negative emotions like self-pity and a complaining spirit. It was as if a dark cloud had descended over me. I prayed and asked God for wisdom on how to overcome these negative emotions. As I did, I sensed Him leading me to do a 21 day gratitude challenge.
Over the course of the 21 days, God began to change me as I spent intentional time being grateful for all I had been given. I did this through writing in my journal each day and also sending a hand-written thank you note to someone different each day. This also led me to writing out 21 prayers of gratitude and compiling 21 stories of gratitude.
I want to share what I learned with you in the pages of this book which includes:
- 21 Days of Gratitude Challenge
- 21 Prayers of Gratitude
- 21 Stories of Gratitude
What to Expect On Each Day:
- Read my personal stories, struggles and reflections.
- Read one scripture and one quote about gratitude.
- Apply one personal application step from the challenge.
- Read one prayer of gratitude
- Read one story of gratitude
Get Accountability and Encouragement
Along with the 21 day challenge, I also started a private Facebook group to provide accountability and encouragement for myself but also for others who decide to join me in the challenge. You will get access to this group as well. It has been amazing to see God at work in each of our lives.
Will you join me on this journey to gratitude?

I am thankful I have such a loving, caring husband who has been working 3 hours away, for his parents, since he lost his local job a year ago in December. It means so much to me that he would do this, especially since an opportunity came up for him to work here close to home, but at that time his dad just had emergency quad bypass surgery and needed him to take over the business while he recovered. I am in graduate school and will soon be at a point where I can move to be with him full time.

I’m grateful that I came back to the Lord and He helps me every day with any problems I may have. I followed Jesus’ advice and gave Him my problems and found my day is less stressful.
My phylosophy(sp) has always been “If you can do something about it then do so if not why worry?” Now it’s “If I hae a problem or need advice I go to the one with broad shoulders, and knows me so well!”
I’m also greatful I found this website.
Blessings to you all,
Kelly

I am SO. GRATEFUL. that God has new mercies for me each day and is so EXTREMELY patient with me as he leads me down my path of life that he has chosen for me….though I don’t understand ANYTHING of why things happen or the ‘why’ to anything – the ‘unfairness,’ the seemingly endless _________, the ‘such and such’. He is still so patient and continues to wake me up every morning and doesn’t strike me down the MANY times my mind has wandered, I’ve become distracted from doing quiet time, or any of the many other things that happen in my human nature that go to show how much more that I don’t deserve him. Yet, he still chooses to give me breath in my lungs and gives me another chance again, and again, and again, and again….
Susan Wilson says

I’m grateful for God leading me to a great church and showing me what a church family is. I’m a new Christian and God continues to grace me with understanding as well as protecting me from false teachings by providing His word, the true gospel! Saying I’m grateful is the understatement of the century. And most of a I’m grateful for Him choosing me as one of His children and keeping me renewed! I just love the Lord wholeheartedly! We are so blessed and truly have much to be grateful for.

I am thankful for my life and family. I didn’t grow up in a great home and thought I had no life as most “kids” do. I grew up, in the last few years with the help of God. I have come to a greater understanding of my parents, siblings, husband and children. They are my life and I need to understand that God has his plan for them and I need to stand back and watch his hands at work. Today I am thankful for family and life…..
